Weird Scenes Inside the Silver Mine

In the haze of the desert sun, a blazing and stinging ray of energy permeating through the dirt and rocks; there were mountains and men and barrels of high octane byproducts of chemical bliss. Speeding and coursing through the conscious obliviousness of scattered desert mountains overlooking the mass of the flat ghettos below.

Drawing from the scripts of parallel associations between the conceptualizations of what were the real and material realities that leaped before my eyes and what were the mere illusions and mirages of a chemically induced paranoia of the creator’s grand design, I lived a brief existence as a Cowboy Silver Miner. Murder and mayhem and meth and the path toward ending my suffering by freeing myself of the desire that was omnipresent and attainable all at once; yet wholly stifling to the subconscious yearning to escape the bonds of servitude. continue reading…

I’ve got a restless feeling by my side
Early dawning, Sunday morning
It’s just the wasted years so close behind
Watch out, the world’s behind you
There’s always someone around you who will call
It’s nothing at all
Sunday morning and I’m falling
I’ve got a feeling I don’t want to know
Early dawning, Sunday morning
It’s all the streets you crossed, not so long ago
Watch out, the world’s behind you
There’s always someone around you who will call
It’s nothing at all
Sunday Morning.

Yet another Sunday morning by my side, yet another opportunity to spread the dystopic and eerily soothing voice of Lou Reed to the archetype of my subconscious .

Considering the kind words received from my Lou Reed-inspired prose, reverie, imagery and alliteration of last Sunday morning, perhaps this will be a weekly theme to showcase the depravity lurking inside a life defined by the darkness and light of perpetual psychic discontent. continue reading…

The Tapeworm.

The Parasite.

The Corporation.

The Parasite.

As it is introduced to its host, the parasitic tapeworm consumes and consumes. It grows larger and larger, sucking every ounce of energy from the host as it continues to grow; taking over and shutting out all other functions of existence.

The corporate tape worm has been introduced to the host known as American Democracy. The corporate tape worm devours politicians, judges and the collective consciousness of those who enable it to feed on the host.

The corporate tape worm takes over as we watch. As we interject hyperbole and reaction into everyday discussions; as we blindly choose sides; as we scream and we assume we are righteous: the corporate tape worm takes over our control of the system that is designed to protect us from the parasite that is the corporate tape worm. continue reading…

….the plotted lines the faulty map
that brought Columbus to New York
Betwixt between the East and West
he calls on her wearing a leather vest
the earth squeals and shudders to a halt

A diamond crucifix in his ear
is used to help ward off the fear
that he has left his soul in someone’s rented car
Inside his pants he hides a mop
to clean the mess that he has dropped
into the life of lithesome Juliette Bell

…I’ll take Manhattan in a garbage bag
With Latin written on it that says
‘it’s hard to give a shit these days’
Manhattan’s sinking like a rock
Into the filthy Hudson what a shock
They wrote a book about it
They said it was like ancient Rome
~ Lou Reed

I thought I would share a bit of Lou Reed prose from the song Romeo Had Juliette. I too am caught between the twisted stars in a life that seems not to be my own but a life in perpetual reverie of fear, regret and entangled self-entitlement by proxy.

As the politics of reaction dominate the national psyche, the global functions of systemic dissonance crumbling and the earth besieged by fossil fuels; it is indeed hard to give a shit these days as Mr. Reed pontificated. I try to give a shit yet I am irreparably torn between the two masks that I have displayed to the world at large. continue reading…
